Foundations Math Curriculum Summary
Foundations Math is a multi-purpose mini math course designed for students from elementary to high school.
The primary goal of the course is to ensure students have strong arithmetic skills needed to succeed in courses at or above Pre-Algebra.
The course is also a great way to introduce elementary and middle school students to more advanced topics they will study in high school. As such, the Foundations Math course is an excellent review/transition for students going into a college prep math track, starting at Pre-Algebra.
This mini course is also valuable to all high school math students as a way to review and strengthen their basic math and arithmetic skills that will help them in their advanced math courses.

Chapter 1: Number and Algebra Foundations
This chapter introduces students to basic terms and concepts used in algebra. Time is taken to ensure the student understands basic number operations, variables and their applications. Additionally, the student gains a fundamental sense of equations, inequalities and their solutions. Lastly, students will be introduced to Venn diagrams and sets, sequences and solving math problems by studying patterns.
